We are a specialist technology outsourcing firm with an aggressive growth plan and are looking for a B2B marketing professional to support this expansion and deliver our marketing plan across the UK. In addition, this is a standalone role and for the right individual has the potential to become more senior in the future.
About the role
Reporting directly to the Sales Director, this is a proactive role managing the marketing across the whole business including the design of PR programmes, lead generation campaigns to C-level, social media, website management, collateral development and working closely with the sales team to support their pipeline growth.
We are a sales driven business and approximately 80% of our new business comes directly from targeted marketing activity. Our work is primarily across the insurance, finance and legal sectors and our marketing efforts are currently very campaign driven. As a result, we are looking for someone who can increase our breath of exposure by maximising use of other channels such as social media.
On a tactical level you will be responsible for the day to day management of the website, SEO and Google ad words, writing copy for collateral and case studies, and maintaining prospect lists. On a strategic level this role is a key driver for our sales activity, therefore will be expected to identify new marketing opportunities and execution strategies across our core markets and within new verticals. You will also be responsible for advising key stakeholders on marketing direction.
There are no direct reports, but this position does manage a number of external resources including PR and design agencies.
Skills & experience
We are looking for someone with 3+ years B2B experience with exposure to either professional services, technology or outsourcing markets. Educated to degree level and with a CIM diploma, you should have an energetic and proactive approach and be comfortable working independently. Having full mix experience is a must, with a strong understanding of how to integrate the various channels within a specialist market.
Having the ability to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in is also extremely important, as well as excellent attention to detail and solid copywriting skills. Previous experience of targeting city based organisations including financial services and the legal sector would be desirable, as would a background in working closely with sales teams.
